City of Jenkins Awarded $4,983.14 Grant to Improve Park Accessibility

The City of Jenkins is excited to announce that it has been selected as a recipient of a $4,983.14 Community Grant from the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) to enhance accessibility and comfort in our community park!

The grant funding will support the installation of ADA-accessible picnic tables and additional park seating, creating more welcoming and inclusive outdoor spaces for residents and visitors of all ages and abilities to gather, relax, and enjoy our community.

The Foundation for Rural Service is the philanthropic arm of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association. This award is made possible through a partnership with Emily Cooperative Telephone Company, a member of NTCA, whose commitment to supporting rural communities helps make projects like this possible.

The City of Jenkins extends its sincere appreciation to the Foundation for Rural Service and Emily Cooperative Telephone Company for their generosity and investment in our community.

This funding represents another exciting step in the City’s ongoing efforts to improve our parks, expand accessibility, and enhance recreational opportunities without placing additional financial burdens on local taxpayers.

We look forward to sharing updates as these improvements move forward!

Small Community. Big Possibilities.
